West Virginia Theater East enthusiastically announces their Fall Show, Bram Stoker’s “Dracula”, adapted for the stage by Hardy County native, Stephen G. Smith, director, and Kristina Fox Goldizen, assistant director.
Show dates are:
October 16th, 17th, and 18th, at 7:00 PM
October 18th and 19th at 2:00 PM
This show is not suitable for children. Show will be at the Landes Art Centers, in the Harr Theatre. Adult tickets are $10.00, and student tickets are $8.00.
Jonathan Harker, played by Kaden Berg, a young man travelling to Transylvania conducting business, with Count Dracula, played by Jason Redman regarding property Count Dracula has bought in England. While a guest at Count Dracula’s castle, Jonathan realizes that things are not what they appear and begins to fear for his life.
Meanwhile, in England, Jonathan’s fiancée Mina Murray, played by Vivian Pownell is spending time with your best friend, Lucy Westnera, played by Seneca Kimble. Ms. Lucy is a vivacious young lady, who has three men, John Seward, played by Evan Engle, Quincy Morris, played by Christopher Brown, and Arthur Holmwood, played by Ryan Finnegan asking for her hand in marriage. During this period, Ms. Lucy becomes ill, with no reason at first why. John Seward calls for his dear professor, Van Helsing, played by Kandy Turner to shed some light on Lucy’s mysterious illness.
Meanwhile, Jonathan Harker returns to Mina, and this group begins to realize that Dracula may be involved with everything.
Are they able to save Lucy? Are they able to destroy the darkness that is coming? Come see WVTE’s Dracula!

• Mother of Stolen Child: Kristina Fox Goldizen
• Mrs. Stillwell: Sydney Redman
• Renfield: Cam Boggs
• Jenny, a maid: Gabby Goldizen
• Workmen/villagers/party goers/asylum attendants: Zane Sanchez, Joshua Sullivan, Matthew Wimer, and Melvin Wimer III
Tom Hencke is doing the set. Andrew Western is providing lights, and sound. Kristina Fox Goldizen and Carrie Ruddle is providing the props. Karnsy Kimble oversees the costumes.
