Join us on 28th November 2026 for a magical evening of light, creativity and Christmas cheer!

 

Our aim is to bring people of all ages together, using art to celebrate positive emotional wellbeing, enjoy some good old-fashioned festive fun, and spread Christmas cheer to Winterton residents who may not be able to attend the Christmas Market and Light Switch On.

 

🕔 Meet: 5:00pm

🚶‍♀️ Set off: 5:15pm

🎄 Finish: 5:55pm at the Christmas Tree

📍 Meeting Point: High Street (in front of Gilby House)

 

📏 Approx. 1 mile route | 45-minute steady walk

The parade follows footpaths, using kerbs at road crossings.

 

🎅 Theme: Christmas!

Wear festive costumes, hats, jumpers, face paint – anything bright and light-up is encouraged! Please dress comfortably for walking and suitable for the weather.

 

🏮 Lanterns

We LOVE homemade lanterns (or ones from previous years) – the more creative the better!

 

Please remember:

✅ Battery-powered lights only (no naked flames)

✅ Lanterns on a stick so they can be held up high

 

Lanterns are being provided for children at Winterton Juniors & Infants, as well as Little Frogs, Happy Feet, Panda Play and other NLC groups. Please bring your lantern with you on the night.

💡 Canes and lights available on the night from the Light Up Winterton Hut in the Christmas Market on the High Street – £1 each.
