Workshop: The Hammered Drop Copper Earring Experience

This 30-minute taster workshop is in conjunction with Peterborough Artist Open Studios.

All materials and use of tools are included in the cost of the class!

This course is based around basic wirework and is a fun activity for all ages and skill levels.

Come and have a go at creating your own amazing piece of jewellery, whether you are making it for you or for someone special, this is a gorgeous little class that all the family can enjoy together!

Create Your Own Hand-Forged Masterpiece

Step away from the screen and into the artisan’s chair for a morning/afternoon of rhythmic hammering and mindful making. In this workshop, you will learn the foundational skills of copper smithing to create a stunning pair of textured drop earrings.

What You’ll Master:

• Metal Foundations: Learn how to handle, measure, and cut solid copper wire.
• The Hammering Technique: Discover the satisfaction of using a jeweller’s hammer to create light-catching, organic textures on the metal.
• Professional Finishing: How to work-harden your copper so it holds its shape and securely wire-wrap your chosen crystals.

No previous experience is necessary

The size of the classes is kept small to allow plenty of one-on-one attention and the maximum number of students for this class is 9.

Please make sure you arrive before the start time, as this class is step-by-step, and if you miss the beginning, you will not be able to catch up!

The Jewellery school has now moved to 30 Fenlake Business Centre, PE1 5BQ, so we have lots more space!
