Phil Lynott Tribute Show - The Parkway Club 15/11/25
(All Proceeds to NHS)
Phil Lynott of Irish Rock Legends Thin Lizzy would have been 76 this year and for the 20th time following a 2 year hiatus due to the pandemic and lockdown, in Peterborough we will be remembering and celebrating the man and the music of one of Irelands greatest ever rockers again on Saturday 15th November at 'The Parkway Club', Maskew Avenue, Peterborough. Doors Open 5.30pm and Show starts @ 6.20pm till 12am.
The show this year is again also dedicated to the memory of Phil Lynott's Mother, Philomena Lynott who has graced 10 of the 15 previous shows in Peterborough and who sadly passed away due to Cancer on June 12th 2019 aged 88.
Our 4 band 20th Anniversary show this year is scheduled to be our last and we have really something special to bring you with possibly our strongest ever line up as the bands play in memory of Phil Lynott and Philomena Lynott.
This years headliners will be Peterborough’s only Thin Lizzy Tribute Band ‘Lizzy On The Loose’ who have been the backbone of many of the past 19 ‘Dedication Shows’ in this and various line ups, who have specially reformed, (Having ‘Split Up’ last year), to play this show and again promise something really special themed around ‘Thin Lizzy’s’ Classic Live Album ‘Live and Dangerous’ from 1978.
Our ‘Special Guests’ this year will be popular 5 piece Female Fronted Peterborough Band ‘2020 Vision’ who will be playing plenty of Classic Rock Covers.
‘Black Rose’ (Society) from Northampton return again, having celebrated their 35th anniversary as as band in 2023.
They wrote themselves into 'Dedication' folklore 18 years ago, (for those of you who can remember show 4, the 20th Anniversary Show 2006 @ The Cresset, Peterborough), when they played the whole of the last Thin Lizzy Studio album from 1983 'Thunder and Lightning' in its entirety plus a greatest hits set), and promise again something really special for this years show by playing the iconic namesake ‘Thin Lizzy’ Roisin Dubh ‘Black Rose’ A Rock Legend Studio album in full! (38.49 Min).
Released in 1979, it has been described as one of the band's "greatest, most successful albums", as part of a 60 minute set that will also include some ‘Phil Lynott’ and ‘Thin Lizzy’ Chart and Selected Album Tracks ‘Squeezed In!’
Last but certainly not least, opening this years show and playing a full 60 minute set, we have New and exciting Peterborough 4 Piece Band Rhubarb Bridge (Who’s Lineup includes Show Sponsor Jez Bush (Peterborough Guitar Tech) and Paul Douglas (Also From Lizzy On The Loose), playing Pop Rock, Shock Drop, Ballsy Balladeers played in their own inimitable style!
