Rodriquez and graphic illustration and acrylic artist Nadler (Nate) Petit-Dieu and acrylic painter and rural landscape photographer Larisa Sarver. The opening reception begins at 6pm, it is free, and all are welcome. E. J. Rodriquez is a photographer currently residing in Illinois. His passion for photography and travel started in his teen years while still living in California, but his skills and technique evolved as he traveled and worked as a photographer around the world. He specializes in capturing breathtaking and thought-provoking images of nature and urban landscapes from most of the lower 48 states of the USA as well as from England, Russia, and throughout Europe. His work is featured in prestigious private and commercial collections in the US and abroad. Nadler, a.k.a Nate, Petit-Dieu, has been creating artwork for the majority of his life. He has worked on varying projects from digital designs to mural applications, aiming to push himself to new creative heights. With years of painting experience in his brush, Nate looks to draw attention to issues such as emotional identity and internal conflict through large vividly colored canvases. Nate Petit-Dieu’s line drawings of imaginative superheroes and fantastical characters practically leap from the page. The characters he creates are uniquely suited to the adventure and thriller narratives that he creates alongside his art. In addition to his graphic illustrations, his acrylic work is beautifully executed. He is a concept artist who is as much at home with a brush as he is with a pencil. Larisa Sarver grew up on a farm with some woodland area outside of Serena. Walks in the woodlands and learning the plants with her father and gardening with her mother helped her develop a great love of nature that comes through in her artwork. After graduating from Serena High School, she attended Illinois State University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Art Education. Larisa taught at various schools around the area but taught her last 17 at LaSalle Peru High School. She has exhibited both her photographic work and her photographic work at various juried and non-juried art exhibitions throughout the Illinois Valley. The work of these talented artists will be on exhibit and available for purchase at NCI ARTworks Gallery from November 14th to the first week of December.
