Rooted in jazz piano and shaped by his time at WAAPA, Jasper Lambert’s musical journey has taken him through the worlds of RnB, Pop, Funk, Fusion and beyond. Now a regular fixture in Perth’s music scene, Jasper has carved out a reputation as a dynamic, versatile keyboardist — drawing inspiration from greats like Russell Ferrante, Robert Glasper, Valeriy Stepanov, and Rai Thistlethwayte.
You Can’t Do That On Stage Anymore (a nod to Frank Zappa’s iconic live album) is the bold culmination of Jasper’s years of growth, exploration and experimentation. Expect high-octane funk fusion, avant-garde rock, heartfelt ballads, and emotionally-charged original compositions — all woven together with inspirations of Frank Zappa, Prince, Gino Vannelli, Billy Joel, and more. With a few surprise covers thrown in, this is a performance that promises to push boundaries, break rules, and leave the audience wanting more.
