- **Event Description**: To mark the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II in Europe, a series of events is planned across Perth and Kinross.

On Sunday, 11 May, from 10am-3pm there will be a display of military vehicles, and live music from Perth and District Pipe Band, Perthshire Brass and The McAndrew Sisters as well as other street entertainment across High Street, King Edward Street, St John's Place and St John Street.

St John's Kirk will also host a commemorative church service at 11am.

On 8 May, VE Day itself, wreaths will also be laid at the Veterans' Memorial on St John Street in Perth (9am) and at The 51st Highland Division Memorial at the North Inch (9.30am).

That same night at 9pm, 8 May, a series of VE Day 80 beacons will be lit at seven locations across Perth and Kinross to commemorate the end of the Second World War in Europe.

Auchterarder, Primrose Park
Crieff, MacRosty Park
Kinross, 14 High Street
