The day is finally here! 'Trans Liminality: Gender Confirmation Surgery and the Space between Spaces', Winsall's Debut photobook chronicalling her journey to Bangkok, Thailand in order to receive Gender Confirmation AKA "Bottom" Surgery, is out Sunday November 16th!
To celebrate the launch of her book, Winsall invites you to come down to The Moon Cafe in Northbridge for a gallery exhibition of selected prints from 'Trans Liminality' printed by the expertise of Joe's Printing in Fremantle. About the author:
Winsall is a transgender artist who works primarily in film photography. Her photographs capture serene, private moments that offer a refreshed appreciation for urban environments. Her photographic style possesses a calming quality, exhibiting her attention to the small, transient details of life. Winsall pays a reverence and a respect to the subjects she photographs - From birds to humans, buildings to entire cities, Winsall attempts to see and portray them through their own lenses.
