- **Event Name**: The Touch Lab
- **Event Start and End Date**: Sat, 18 Jul, 2026 at 02:00 pm – Sat, 18 Jul, 2026 at 06:00 pm
- **Event Description**: Most people were never taught how to ask for the touch they want, how to give touch with precision, or how to truly witness what happens in the body.

The Touch Lab is a guided, structured 2-hour experience in active receiving, clear communication, and conscious, consensual touch.

Participants work in groups of three:

one receiver
one giver
one witness

Everyone gives, everyone receives, everyone witnesses.

The receiver directs the experience, the giver follows exactly, and the witness observes without interfering.

This is a fully clothed, non-intimate, consent-led learning space.

What to expect

clear structure and guidance
a 5-minute negotiation before each round
20 minutes of active receiving touch per set
three role-based experiences
full group debrief at the end

This space is

structured
respectful
fully guided

suitable for people who want to learn, not perform

Important boundaries

fully clothed at all times
non-intimate touch only
consent can be changed or withdrawn at any time

participants are expected to follow instructions and respect boundaries

You don’t need to be good at this.

You just need to be curious

Who this is for

People who want to improve how they communicate through touch, understand what their body responds to, and learn to give touch that is actually received.

If you attend with a female friend or partner, both receive a reduced rate.

Touch Lab — Frequently Asked Questions

A lot of people are curious about this space… and also have questions.

So let’s address the most common ones.

Is this just for men?

No.

However, research shows that men are more likely to be touch deprived and experience higher levels of loneliness, often receiving significantly less non-sexual, nurturing touch than women.

So it makes sense that more men may be drawn to this.

That said…

Nervous systems are not gendered.

Every human body needs safe, regulated, consensual touch.

But women get touched all the time…

Yes — and often not in ways that feel safe or consensual.

This space is different.

Here, you receive exactly what you ask for:

No more
No less

That level of clarity is rare — and incredibly powerful.

What actually happens in the session?

This is a structured, guided experience.

You’ll learn:

How to ask clearly
How to give precisely
How to negotiate boundaries
How to stay present in your body

This is somatic work.

We are working with the nervous system — not performance.

What if I don’t want to do something?

You don’t have to.

That’s consent.

You are always in control of your experience.

At the same time, we support safe exploration.

For example:

You may not want someone touching your face — that’s completely valid.

But instead of shutting down interaction entirely, we may explore alternatives such as:

Sitting back-to-back
Leaning into each other
Finding a version that feels safe and acceptable

This is how trust is built.

Is this a dating event?

No.

This is NOT a dating event.

Is this a service?

No.

This is NOT a service.

There is no exchange or expectation of touch.

This is a guided, shared learning environment.

Is it sexual?

No.

Fully clothed

Non-intimate touch only

Clear boundaries at all times

How do I know it’s safe?

This space is structured and facilitated.

I personally ensure that:

Only people with genuine, respectful intentions attend

Any inappropriate behaviour is addressed immediately

There is zero tolerance for boundary violations.

What’s the point of all this?

Many people are living without something fundamental:

Safe, regulated, human touch.

This space supports:

Communication
Boundary setting
Negotiation
Consent
Connection

And over time:

Trust
Truth
Real intimacy

Still unsure?

You don’t need to be ready.

You just need to be willing to explore.
