# Event Details - **Event Name**: PIJF: HETTY KATE (PAR/MEL) at The Ellington Jazz Club - **Event Start and End Date**: Fri, 31 Oct, 2025 at 06:00 pm - **Event Description**: PERTH INTERNATIONAL JAZZ FESTIVAL AT THE ELLINGTON JAZZ CLUB 25TH OCTOBER – 2ND NOVEMBER “One of the world’s leading swing vocalists, Australia’s own irresistible Hetty Kate” Will Friedwald (US music critic) Nurtured in Melbourne’s vibrant jazz scene, Hetty’s musical journey has since spanned 28 countries, with performances at major international festivals and a significant tenure as the featured vocalist in Australian jazz luminary James Morrison’s touring bands, including his award-winning symphonic concert The A to Z of Jazz. “When Hetty Kate takes the stage you can’t help but notice. She has a stage presence only matched by the clarity of her voice – couple this with her dedication to music that swings, and you have the jazz musician’s singer” James Morrison AM Praised as “one of the best swing-style singers on the current scene” (Will Friedwald, Author & Critic, USA), Hetty’s recordings and live performances showcase her “poised vocal line” and “precise, on-point phrasing” (Alain Thomas, Couleurs Jazz, FR), along with her talent for curating “a repertoire of such quality” (Eric Myers, LoudMouth Ezine, Music Trust AU). “A charismatic and technically gifted jazz vocalist” Chris May, All About Jazz (USA) British-Australian vocalist Hetty Kate brings a pure tone and natural artistry to the jazz tradition. Compared to “a good champagne: simultaneously effervescent and restrained” by the Sydney Morning Herald, Hetty’s distinctive approach balances her unwavering respect for the lyric with spontaneity and wit. Now based in Paris, Hetty continues to tour internationally across Europe, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand, sharing her passion for beautiful songs with audiences around the world. Paris-based Australian jazz vocalist Hetty Kate presents songs from her newest release — a sparkling homage to the most effervescent of seasons, Spring. This album is the opening chapter of Jazz in Four Seasons, a four-album odyssey tracing the calendar year across different continents. Recorded in Prague with four of the city’s finest jazz musicians, this collection captures spring’s beauty through carefully curated standards from Duke Ellington, Tadd Dameron, Dave Brubeck, and more. It celebrates new life, renewal, and awakening — from tender songs that echo the first buds of spring to melodies that capture the dance of spring rain. Sure to be an evening of beautiful music, classics, and curiosities. “Like Peggy Lee on a Vespa” Marc Myers, Jazzwax (USA) Doors 6pm Show 7pm - **Event URL**: https://allevents.in/perth/pijf-hetty-kate-par-mel-at-the-ellington-jazz-club/200028860572827 - **Event Categories**: music, entertainment, festivals, concerts, live-music, art, literary-art, calendar, jazz - **Interested Audience**: - total_interested_count: 19 ## Ticket Details ## Event venue details - **city**: Perth - **state**: WA - **country**: Australia - **location**: The Ellington Jazz Club - **lat**: -31.946692863755 - **long**: 115.86437706353 - **full address**: The Ellington Jazz Club, 191 Beaufort street,Perth,WA,Australia ## Event gallery - **Alt text**: PIJF: HETTY KATE (PAR/MEL) at The Ellington Jazz Club - **Image URL**: https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events10/banners/f558e92fe9da2e66d553de3aa32f0fa4139ad6fa778e3e66592ac5ecbb73ac3f-rimg-w1200-h675-dc060606-gmir?v=1761882384 ## FAQs - **Q**: When and where is PIJF: HETTY KATE (PAR/MEL) at The Ellington Jazz Club being held? - **A:** PIJF: HETTY KATE (PAR/MEL) at The Ellington Jazz Club takes place on Fri, 31 Oct, 2025 at 06:00 pm to Fri, 31 Oct, 2025 at 06:00 pm at The Ellington Jazz Club, 191 Beaufort street,Perth,WA,Australia. - **Q**: Who is organizing PIJF: HETTY KATE (PAR/MEL) at The Ellington Jazz Club? - **A:** PIJF: HETTY KATE (PAR/MEL) at The Ellington Jazz Club is organized by The Ellington Jazz Club - Perth. - **Q**: Who is this event for?
