Perth Woman Scream 2026 is our annual spoken-word gathering, and Perth’s link to the global Woman Scream (Grito de Mujer) movement. We’ve gathered annually since 2014 because the reality for many women in our community remains unchanged. Silence gives violence room to breathe. We keep choosing poetry to SCREAM because it can land where facts and headlines sometimes don’t.
The 2026 theme, Beyond Boundaries, asks us to listen harder to migrant women and girls, and to what changes when someone is far from home. When language, money, and family networks fall away, it can become harder to name harm, harder to ask for help, and harder to be heard.

– Time: 2:00pm to 4:00pm (doors open 1:30pm)
– Venue: The Moon Cafe, 323 William St, Northbridge WA
– Entry: Free and open to all. Please register so we can plan seating.
