Nature of Being Art Exhibition | Event in Perth | AllEvents.in Nature of Being Art Exhibition

Ellis House Arts Centre is nestled in Bayswater this creative hub showcases local artists work all year round in a proud and vibrant display of the many talented creatives in the Boorloo Perth local area. Currently on show is ‘Nature of Being’ a group show from artists Sarah Eve Jan Henderson and Kamila Waleszkiewicz present their artworks exploring personal connections and interpretations of the natural world

Sarah Eve is an abstract realism painter inspired by her travels around Australia. Her use of colours is vibrant demanding attention with dramatic contrasting lighting and shadows highlighting the unique textures and lines within rocks. She sees the land as both ancient and ephemeral and aspires to capture the beauty of both these concepts.

Jan Henderson paints abstracts with the intention of breaking free from the conventional way of seeing. Her work attempts to connect with the viewer in a deeply personal way through the exploration of colour and shapes.

Kamila Waleszkiewicz finds a thoughtful connection with nature especially birds. For Kamila birds serve as powerful symbols representing the souls of women their dedication to family struggles and quest for freedom. In her recent printmaking and watercolour work Kamila portrays birds that observe humans with the same curiosity and contemplation that humans often direct toward them.
