Matt describes music as like breathing, something he has always known yet remains a mystery…At 46 he has been writing songs for
the better part of 30 years 

At his heart Matt is a story teller thru song crafting lyrics of truth, fable and fiction to accompany his excellent acoustic and electric guitar skills

Highlights include winning Blues and roots song of the year
2011 for his track Overdrive and shortlisted for the prize
again with his track Kimberley Moon in 2012

Performing to a sold-out audience at Kalamunda Performing
Art Centre in 2025 opening for Ash Grunwald, Supporting Si Mullumby, Shmone, touring WA with Jeff Lang and opening for
Australian uprising International Roots star Steph Strings
along with Tijuana Cartel at Settlers Tav in Margaret River.
