Highlighting Bach’s sacred cantata Erwünschtes Freudenlicht (Light of Joy), the programme also features compositions by Pachelbel and Wilhelmine von Bayreuth. Together, these works tell the Christian story of Easter and Pentecost, celebrating Christ’s resurrection and the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles.

Featuring singers Bonnie de la Hunty (soprano), Katie How (alto), Kieran Lynch (tenor), and Kris Bowtell (bass); Baroque flute soloist Robin Hillier; and an ensemble of leading Baroque instrumentalists, including flutes, strings, harpsichord and chamber organ.
