In true dedication to the local and legendary Ladies of Jazz from days gone by, we present a festive evening that reignites a Christmas tradition of old!

Think Helen Matthews, June Smith and the Apple Band, Birdland and The Jazz Divas – an annual celebration that religiously occurred through the Perth Jazz Society every December, on the stages of the Hyde Park Hotel and then the Charles. This was an institution of epic musical proportions that paved the way for up and coming local jazz artists to garner an opportunity to perform with the very best of their home-town and international jazz professionals.

Now a new “old guard” gathers again to commemorate those incredible musical legacies that these brilliant women have so graciously shared with the generations.

We celebrate them, some gone to higher realms and others still very much a part of our musical world – all still embedded in our hearts and melodic minds.
