Each year on Bev Sloan’s birthday, we come together to Gather the Flock.
This special annual event honours Bev’s life, values, and lasting contribution to the interpreting community. It is both a celebration and a moment of collective purpose: a chance to connect, reflect, and support the next generation through the Ewe & Me Fund.

Gathering the Flock is a warm, community-focused gathering held on Bev’s birthday. In 2026, we will mark the occasion with a high tea, shared conversation, and the official announcement of the 2026 Ewe & Me Fund sponsorship round.
The event is designed to be welcoming, reflective, and meaningful rather than formal. Whether you knew Bev personally or are connected through the work she cared deeply about, you are very welcome.
About the Ewe & Me Fund
The Ewe & Me Fund was established in Bev’s memory to support interpreters and interpreting students with access to professional development opportunities. The fund reflects Bev’s belief in generosity, learning, and quietly backing people to grow.
