Carlos Ballarta, born in Mexico City in 1990, started as a voice actor before trying stand-up in 2012. Too shy to face the crowd, he wore dark glasses — now his signature look.
Since his Comedy Central debut in 2014, he’s released three Netflix specials (El Amor es de Putos, Furia Ñera, Falso Profeta) and toured across the world.
A father of two and advocate for diversity in entertainment, Carlos calls himself “not the best, just an intuitive artist” — or simply, “one lucky bastard.”
