Scent of a Murder: Christmas Edition
Saturday 1st November, 10am to 4pm
The Barn @ Kemble’s Field, Charlton
Murder. Mayhem. Scentwork. Christmas.
All served up in a 1940s noir-style mystery... starring dogs.
Picture this: Charlton's Christmas gala is in full swing. Twinkling lights, warm drinks, laughter... Until a top dog trainer keels over just before the tree gets lit. No witnesses. No obvious cause of death. Only one clue: a glove soaked in scent, shoved under the banquet table like an amateur hiding evidence.
And so it falls to you and your dog to unpick the chaos. Are you ready to sniff out the truth?
What to expect
- One host, one ever-suffering assistant and a professional photographer, all in full 1940s costume and character. Maintaining perfect suspense, and occasionally updating you on the weather.
- Complete venue access: rooms, all grounds… so many secrets hidden
- A full day of scentwork woven into a true whodunnit.
- Themed search zones, each stuffed with clues, distractions and red herrings (including one suspiciously festive one).
- A story that unfolds as you search—no spoilers, no expectations.
- No stopwatch. No panic. Just you, your dog and the scent trail.
- Guidance from an experienced scentwork host who may speak in a cheesy detective accent.
- Two professional shots included in the price: one mid-investigation, one post-solution.
- Proper attention to detail. This isn’t a half-baked sniff-and-go.
- Tea, decent coffee and biscuits that don’t crumble in your pocket.
- A festive lunch… and mocktails if you’re wishing your evidence came spiked.
Who’s it for?
