Julie first came to prominence performing songs from Sandy’s celebrated catalogue — honouring her legacy with sensitivity and authenticity — while gradually opening the door to original material shaped by the band’s creative contributors. Sandy’s influence continues to flow through their sound: the poetic lyricism, emotional resonance, and timeless melodic sensibility.

In 2026, Julie July will be releasing her fourth original album — a body of work that moves beyond homage to capture the essence of 70s folk-rock while re-imagining it for the 21st century. The new songs are rooted in tradition yet boldly forward-looking, blending classic inspiration with modern songwriting, contemporary themes and fresh musical textures.

With influences from Fleetwood Mac, Fairport Convention, Steeleye Span, Strawbs and Richard & Linda Thompson, the Julie July Band deliver uplifting sets filled with harmony, heart and dynamic musicianship.
