In this hands-on class, you'll choose your project (a cozy beanie or a stylish basket), select your yarn color, and pick the right hook to match. From there, your instructor will guide you through reading a simple crochet pattern and starting your project with confidence.

To make the process smooth and frustration-free, all supplies are included with your registration — yarn, hook, and a color-printed pattern. Choose to create a beanie in your preferred size or a basket/bowl in small or medium. By the end of class, you'll have the skills, tools, and confidence to continue your crochet journey at home.

Project sizes will vary based on your chosen project. Participants are welcome to bring a notepad and pen to take notes. All other supplies are provided. Participants ages 16 to 17 may participate without an adult.

Class Notes: Prerequisite: Participants must have completed an Intro to Crochet class at 577 to register.

Annie grew up in an Arts & Crafts household, learning to crochet at 7 and knit at 14. She has honed most of her knowledge through trial and error, observation, and decades of repetition. She has been teaching for over 10 years and loves to share the joy of fiber crafts with anyone interested, from preschool to retired. Her favorite parts of teaching are witnessing a student's ah-ha moment and seeing them explore the hobby in their own way.
