- **Event Description**: NEW at artswyco: Needle Felting with Tami Fuller

Use needle felting to create your own set of authentic sustainable acorns using wool and real locally foraged acorn tops. String on a garland or simply display on a mantel – a lovely, relaxing way to decorate and learn something new during the doldrums of January in honor of the light returning. Each student will receive supplies needed to make 10 -15 acorns and retain their needle for continued creating at home. 

Additional supplies for at home making or gifting will be available the evening of. 

This workshop will take place in the studio learning space at the Arts Council for Wyoming County, 31 S. Main Street, Perry. Registration is required. This workshop is open to those ages 16- adult. Students 12-15 may participate in the company of a ticketed caregiver who can assist in case of difficulty. Class size is limited.

About the Instructor: 
Tami Fuller is a second-generation fiber artist and works as an educator and exhibiting fine fiber artist out of her studio in East Aurora. Her work integrates the traditional foundations of hand-constructed processes with modern technique. Her teaching presents the fiber arts in new, modern contexts that are still strongly rooted in traditional practices, and she teaches across both New York State and nationwide. She offers both private and group instruction. Her work has been published internationally and has received awards from NY Sheep and Wool, Arts Council for Wyoming, Lake Affect Magazine and the Carnegie Art Center. Her work is held in private collections in the US, Canada, and Australia. She is an exhibiting member of the Buffalo Society of Artists and 2021 Roycroft Emerging Artist in Fiber.
