At 10:00 AM, farrier James Marshall will perform a traditional hot shoeing on a horse, showing techniques used during the 1893 Land Run era when skilled hoof care was essential to keeping transportation, farming, and daily life moving across rural Oklahoma.

At 11:00 AM, blacksmith Tom Nelson and apprentice Tucker Vollmer will forge a horseshoe into a practical horse pick, highlighting the resourcefulness and craftsmanship that made blacksmiths vital members of early frontier communities.

Guests can watch up close, ask questions, and experience these historic trades in action, will also getting the opportunity to take home a horse pick or cross made in the blacksmith the day of the event.
