King Of The Whole Wide World - The Music Of Elvis Presley --- not a memorial nor a tribute act, not focused on the Vegas years or jumpsuit tours, this show is all about the generally overlooked and underplayed fabulous music he made from 1957-1972, rarely heard but fabulous singles, B-sides, deep cuts and some truly great fun and memorable music from the movies that sometimes gets lost in the often negative reviews of the formula films producers stuck him with. Examples of what you can expect: the song from 'Kid Galahad' that names this show, music from 'King Creole' into 'Blue Hawaii', 'Girls! Girls! Girls!' and much much more, classic singles rarely performed by anyone, including Elvis, from the early 60's, some surprise performances, great attention paid to the arrangements, backing vocals and instrumentation present on those fabulous recordings, masterpiece ballads often lost on a non-LP b-side, and more than we can detail here. Besides, we want you to be pleasantly surprised! Don't expect too much from the every day, overplayed earliest hits, we think you're going to be tickled pink by what we have for you instead! This show is by fans, for fans. The cast is made up of professional musicians/performers from some of the most popular bands in Central Illinois including Cindy Youngren, Chris Delbridge, Matthew Warren, John Riley, Greg Locke, Tom Stoner, Jim Curless, Rich Teegarden, Rachael Cavellini, Dave Moe, Craig Moore, Dan Sutton, and more TBA. The show takes place on November 22 at the fantastic former 'Second Chance', the 3300 Event Center, at 3300 Willow Knolls Road in Peoria. Tickets are just $15, you can get reserved seating and/or group tables at www.3300eventcenter.com or call 309-966-0876. One night only.
