Countdown to M**der: A New Year's Eve Mystery Dinner

Step back into the glamour and intrigue of the Roaring 20s for an unforgettable New Year’s Eve celebration! Join us for a thrilling M**der Mystery Dinner By Die Laughing M**der Mystery Dinners and Comedy where you’ll mingle with the cast, uncover clues, and solve a whodunit before the clock strikes midnight. Music and Champagne at Midnight directly after the dinner. Take time to read the list of characters and familiarize yourself with them. This will not only give you some of the background for the story,but it may also contain some very important clues. Learn about the personalities of the people you are meeting and get to know their “story”.

Event Highlights:

Theme: Roaring 20s – Dress to impress in your best Gatsby-inspired attire, but it is optional!

Dinner: Indulge in a prime rib carving station, plus a buffet featuring pork medallions, roasted potatoes, seasonal vegetables, soup, and salad, catered by Lakeside Bistro. Dessert to follow, of course!

Interactive Mystery: Doors open at 6:00 PM for guest mingling and clue gathering with the cast. You want to be here by 6!

Entertainment: Live music after the mystery to keep the celebration going.

Midnight Toast: Ring in the New Year with champagne at midnight!

Mayhem at The Juice Joint

With the passing of prohibition and organized crime on the rise, The Juice Joint, a swanky speakeasy run by Dina Diva, has been nothing but jumping. To celebrate its success, Dina

is throwing a party to remember at her exclusive nightspot…and you are invited!

However, one of the names on the guest list is also on another’s hit list… and no one is safe from the consequences. With M**der on the menu, you are certain to find a medley of

individuals to make the night most memorable. From Mobsters to Flappers, no one is safe from M**der…but everyone will have a chance at solving it.

CAST of Suspects:

Hal Sapone – Infamous North-Side Mob Boss.

Hal is the infamous organized crime leader of the North

Side Mob in Chicago. Hal is a smooth operator and owner

of The Juice Joint, the swankiest speakeasy in Chicago.

Dina Diva – Hal Sapone’s Girlfriend.

One-time film star and widow to the famous movie

director Harvey Hollywood. With a crumbling career and a

no means of support, Dina returned to her Chicago roots,

met Hal Sapone and is now his girlfriend. Dina runs The

Juice Joint – a swanky speakeasy owned by Hal. Hal relies

on Dina to lend a “legitimate face” to the business

Tommy “4-Guns” Beagle –South-Side Mob Boss.

For obvious reasons, Tommy and Hal Sapone are rivals.

However, all the Chicago mobsters have called a truce to

unite and remain “untouchable” to Eliot Ness’ team of law

enforcement agents who are in town to enforce prohibition.

Sophia “Sweet Lips” Spumoni – Tommy’s girlfriend.

She has been dating Tommy for almost a year and is ready

to take things to the level…soon!

“Southside Sally” (Beagle) – Tommy’s Sister and

Business Partner

Sally has always been close to her brother and her father,

“Big T” always treated them equally. So, it was no surprise

upon his death, that he left his Southside Territory to both

his son and daughter to run together.

P. I. Pinkerton (Pinky) – Private Investigator. Has done

a little P.I. work for various mobsters. Little things like

following a cheating spouse, background checks on

associates or potential customers, etc. But nothing related

to mob activity.

Mugsy Malone – South Side Henchman.

Mugsy is Tommy “4-Guns” and Sally’s right-hand man.

Mugsy has worked hard to gain his position in the South

Side Mob organization and will stop at nothing to keep it.

He hopes his loyalty to Tommy and Sally will pay off big

one day.

J. “The Brains” Jansoni- Hal’s former Bookkeeper

turned Mob Lawyer. He has been loyal to Hal for 20

years, initially as Hal’s Bookkeeper until he achieved his

dream of becoming a lawyer. He now represents Hal and

his associates and is trying to expand his client base.

Additional audience participants may be considered

suspects too! Be diligent in your investigations and

determine who had the motive, means and opportunity

to commit M**der tonight!
