The auction is open to the public and upon arrival anyone who intends to bid can check in and get a bidding number.

The Central Illinois Hosta Society is hosting an auction on Saturday, August 22 at 10:00 am at the Illinois Central College Horticulture Building (ICC Land Lab), 1 College Dr., East Peoria, IL. The auction will begin promptly at 10:00 am but bidders are asked to come early to register and view all of the plants and garden related items to be auctioned. The auction continues until all items are gone. The auctioneer will be Mike Weber. Payment is due after bidding ends or earlier if leaving before the end. Cash and checks only, no credit cards can be accepted. Checks are to be made out to CIHS. 

Please bring a lawn chair for seating. This event is one of the ways we raise funds for the club and the community.

Included in this years auction! One of our members with a beautiful garden full of desirable hostas invited us to her house to dig hostas. We have 35 varieties from her garden alone that will be offered for sale, plus we have members who will be digging extras to donate, plus other shade plants to compliment hostas. So, save some money for August because it will be big!

Donor Information: 

Donations include: hostas (known named hostas only with name marker included), named companion perennials with marker, garden art, garden markers, gardening books or gardening related items.

Thursday, Aug 20: 
Donations Accepted 4:00pm - 6:00pm at the Horticulture Building

Friday, Aug 21: 
Donations Accepted 8:30am - 11:00am at the Horticulture Building

Saturday, August 22: 
Donations accepted 8:30am - 9:30am
Bidder registration: 8:30am - 10:00am
Auction begins promptly at 10:00am

Donors are encouraged to drop off items on Thursday or Friday instead of Saturday. Late items donated on Saturday may not be registered in time for the auction.
