Based on a story by Ian Fleming, and made into an iconic film in 1968, this much-loved family musical is packed full of colourful characters and memorable melodies, including Toot Sweets, Truly Scrumptious, Me Ole’Banboo and of course, the title song itself. In this joyous production we follow Caractacus Potts and his children as they restore the wreck of an old racing car and discover its magical powers. Accompanied by the feisty motorcyclist Truly Scrumptious, they set off to rescue Grandpa when he is kidnapped by spies working for the villainous Baron Bomburst who will stop at nothing to get his hands on the car. In Vulgaria, the Child Catcher is under orders from the Baroness to round up all the children and to make them disappear. Will the family find and rescue Grandpa? Will Chitty live up to her reputation as a fantasmagorical machine? Come along and join in the adventure.
