Our first Forró workshop in Penryn sold out last month, so we’re bringing Brazilian master teacher Filipe Abreu back for a new December session at the Zed Shed — and this time we’ve added a second day in Porthtowan as Forró begins to take root across Cornwall.

This workshop revisits the essentials from the first session and opens up new movements and musicality, so it works both for complete beginners and for anyone returning.

If you want to go deeper into the dance or make a full weekend of it, Filipe is also teaching at Community Roots in Porthtowan on Sunday 7 December.

Forró is the joyful partner dance of Northeast Brazil — rhythmic, playful, and full of connection. No partner or experience needed: everyone is welcome to try both leading and following.
