Hosted by Juno and Gemma, our first session, called Vase & Bloom, will be themed around vase and botanical shapes and designs, painting on canvas using acrylic paints.

The art session will take place in the medieval banquet hall at Askham Hall, an atmospheric and beautifully restored historic space dating back to the 1500s.

These guided sessions are all about discovery, colour and connection, not perfection. You’ll be gently led through a creative activity, with tips and encouragement along the way, in this beautiful setting. Unwind, enjoy your choice of drink and let your creativity flow! ??

What you’ll do:
We’ll start with simple sketching exercises inspired by flowers and foliage, exploring line, colour and mark-making in a relaxed, playful way. We’ll then move on to planning your colours and composition for a vase and botanical design. You'll then bring it all together to create an acrylic-on-canvas artwork, which we hope you'll be happy enough with to hang on your wall.
