Welcome to the 64th Lord Birkett Memorial Trophy, ranked #8 in Yachts & Yachting’s Top 50 “must-do” sailing events — the Glastonbury of sailing! Mass starts of over 200 boats, stunning 14-mile races around Ullswater, and a festival atmosphere make this a truly unforgettable weekend.

Racing:

Open to monohull dinghies and keelboats under 25ft 6in with a PYN rating below 1340.

Two all-class handicap races: one on Saturday, one on Sunday.

Prizes for the first 10 overall, classes with 6+ entries, and other categories.

Strict entry limit: 230 boats; entries close midnight Sunday 28 June 2026. Late entries cannot be accepted.

Sponsor & Extras:

Magic Marine returns as lead sponsor, offering prize vouchers, event T-shirts, rash vests (available for pre-order), on-site pop-up store, and discounts on sailing gear.

Camping & Motorhomes:

Tents & small motorhomes (<5m): available Thursday evening – Sunday evening.

Larger motorhomes: available Friday & Saturday nights only.

Pre-booking essential – spaces are limited.

Hospitality:

On-site food vans:

Shappy Wheels Chip Van – Friday evening & Saturday after racing (fish, chips, sausages, halloumi, kids meals, sides).

Amigo’s Mexican Takeaway – Friday & Saturday evenings (smash burgers, tacos, chilli con carne, fries).

Clubhouse bar open throughout; Marquee bar & live music Friday & Saturday nights (cashless only).
