Surya Namaskar, the Sun Salutation, is an important and popular yoga practice, offering a moving meditation rich in symbolism. A complete practice in itself, Surya Namaskar helps to warm the body, engaging all of the body’s major muscles groups while improving respiration and circulation.
In this workshop we’ll explore:
* different approaches to Surya Namaskar;
* key asanas, correct alignment and transitions
* the traditional Surya Namaskar mantras; and
* pranayama practices to energise and relax body and mind,
We’ll close with an extended yoga nidra relaxation.
