Mushroom Log Inoculation Workshop

Learn how to grow mushrooms on logs!

The Central PA Mushroom Club's annual log inoculation workshop will be Saturday, March 28, at 1:00 PM at the Ferguson Township Community Hall (a.k.a. the old Pine Grove Mills Lions Club) in Pine Grove Mills, PA.

This event typically draws around 100 people, with the club inoculating approximately 120 logs each year. Each dues-paying member who attends and participates in this meeting will receive a log to take home at the end of the event. Extra logs are available for purchase at $20/log, with proceeds benefiting the club.

In 2026, we will inoculate logs with two different mushroom species: the WR46 strain of Shiitake spawn and oyster mushroom spawn from Field and Forest.

New members are welcome and can join at the meeting! Dues are $20 annually and can be paid via cash or check.
