I am introducing a new mechanic into the chip tournaments. Each player will receive 1 physical chip with their buy-in. This chip will allow the player to SKIP 1 match. When you are called for your match against your opponent, you may announce SKIP and turn your chip in. You will swap position with the player who is next in line. You will then be obligated to play whatever the next open match is … even if it is against the player you skipped. You may only use your skip chip when you are the incoming player … you cannot be at the table winning and skip your incoming opponent. The intent of this mechanic is to allow the players the option to avoid one tough match or to skip playing the same hammers over and over again. You only get 1 skip so use it wisely ! And yes … you could theoretically skip your way into the finals if you time it right … you have one chip and the player behind you has one and the player at the table has one … skip them into a deathmatch … but be aware… they might have a skip left too !
