- **Event Description**: An all-star gathering of roots musicians delivering Cajun, country, and old-timeAbout this EventMarch 20th - Cajun Country RevivalCajun Country Revival is a gathering of kindred musical spirits from different backgrounds, united by a deep love of American roots music—and its power to bring people together. Blending ancient folk traditions rooted in Appalachia and French Louisiana with classic country music and original songs born from these styles, the Revival are true keepers of the old flame, finding fresh ways to make it burn brighter and hotter than ever.Formed in the early 2010s by Joel Savoy, Jesse Legé, and members of the Foghorn Stringband, the current incarnation of this roots-music supergroup welcomes Savoy’s hometown friend and longtime collaborator Linzay Young. Young brings a Prairie Cajun twin-fiddle edge to the sound, along with versatile vocals that range from soulful Cajun laments to country-style crooning. At the heart of the band is dancehall veteran Jesse Legé, a charismatic ambassador of Cajun music whose masterful accordion playing and powerful singing have made him one of the most sought-after artists in the tradition. Born near Gueydan, Louisiana, in Vermilion Parish—the “Duck Capital of the World”—Legé spoke Cajun French as his first language and has been making music for nearly six decades. An elder statesman of the genre, he brings both deep authenticity and youthful exuberance to every performance.Joel Savoy and Linzay Young have been making music together since their early teens. Steeped in Cajun culture and hailing from Eunice, Louisiana, this dynamic duo has traveled the world sharing their heritage through music, food, and storytelling. As founders and frontmen of the Red Stick Ramblers, they helped spark a cultural renaissance in Acadiana in the early 2000s—one that drew attention from figures like Anthony Bourdain and HBO’s Tremé, and inspired a renewed focus on traditional boucheries, courirs de Mardi Gras, music festivals, and food-centered celebrations.Joining the ensemble are Nadine Landry and Sammy Lind, passionate torchbearers of traditional fiddle music passed down through generations—from southwest Louisiana Cajun dance halls to songs that might have once spun on a 1950s honky-tonk jukebox. Based in eastern Quebec, they tour internationally as a duo and with Cajun Country Revival and the Foghorn Stringband.Whether performing in an intimate concert setting or igniting a lively dance floor, Cajun Country Revival delivers a joyous, deeply rooted blend of North American traditional music, vivid storytelling, and infectious energy—each performance feeling like a lantern-lit house dance on the prairies of southwest Louisiana.General Admission : 27.00Join us in our bar area before the show at 7pmConcert Hall doors open at 7:30Music at 8pm
