The Wide World of Welding presented by Kurt Erickson

We are looking forward to the opportunity to meet at a new venue in September at Tri County Technical College in Penedelton SC.

Our AWS President Richard Holdren and Section 8 District Director Jim Thompson will be present to meet the section members.

Kurt Erickson will present the program "The Wide World of Welding – Advanced Manufacturing in Welding and Joining Technology". The presentation will focus on the diversity in the welding processes.

Kurt Erickson has been serving welding and joining technology roles for over 25 years. He has a BSME from Clemson University and a Welding Engineering Certification from Ohio State University.

Kurt has supported high volume production in automotive electronics manufacturing and also low volume critical parts manufacturing in the medical industry. More recently he has been providing direct customer application support on everything from satellite and space technology to marine applications as owner of Ei Machine Tool Technologies (www.ei-mtt.com). While working in those roles, he has attained 13 patents related to welding and joining technologies.
