Woermke will present “The Woods and Stones Around Us: The Wesleyan Methodist Mission to the Germans and Wends of the Ottawa Valley 1860–1880,” an exploration of the missionary movement and the experiences of German and Wend communities in the Ottawa Valley during the late nineteenth century.
