In this presentation Dr. J. Michael Butler debunks the myth of “Florida exceptionalism” in relation to the Black freedom struggle and demonstrates how this history remains relevant in modern America for better and worse.This talk is free and open to the public, no registration needed. Recommended for ages 18+.Funding for this Florida Talks program was provided by Florida Humanities.
