- **Event Description**: On behalf of the Maplewood State Park DNR and Jerry Pederson from Friends of Maplewood, we invite anyone interested in lending a hand at the Horse Camp area and trial. 

Date and Time:
Saturday, May 2nd, from 9:00 AM to around 2:00 PM
Location: Please meet at the Horse Camp area 

We will focus on three main tasks:
1. Removing and reinstalling the fence around the hydrant area at the camp.
2. Cutting back brush and small branches around the site and the camp entrance.
3. Removing barbed wire from the horse trail.

The DNR will supply all necessary large equipment for moving the brush and working around the fence area. 

We are seeking 15-20 volunteers for the day. 

Lunch will be provided, but please bring water to stay hydrated. 

Please remember to wear long pants and closed-toe shoes, bring gloves (leather gloves if you'll be handling barbed wire), and dress appropriately for outdoor work. If you have loppers or pruners to bring, that would be appreciated.

We’ll keep track of volunteers and inform you of any updates, particularly regarding weather changes. 

All horse enthusiasts are welcome to volunteer in the beautification of the horse camp and moving forward with making the grounds a great place for all.
