So, as many of you may have heard, my friend and former roommate, Marshall Baccus is in a bit of a pickle with his heart.  He just had a very risky surgery that will get him through a few more months, but he absolutely has to have this procedure done.   He needs about $35,000 for them to proceed and we're very short of that.   So, I thought about it and figured what the hell can I do to help?  Well those of you that know me know that I put on big parties once a year at my house with gracious musicians that give their work for charity and for fun!  Well obviously it's just too damn cold outside doing it at my home ,so the good people at pub 261 have allowed us to host an event there on Sunday, January 25.   There is no band schedule, but whether there is a full PA that's going to be set up. Drums, amps, lights, the works!  All you have to do is just show up. I'll even bring a couple of guitars and basses.  

It's also important to note that pub 261 does not allow smoking anymore, so don't let that keep you away!   The entire establishment of smoke free, but for the smokers there is a patio!  

If you're a singer, a guitar player, a Bassist, etc?   Come on!!  I've already got a ton of A list folks that are going to be there that you can play with!   This is where new bands form, so if you're looking for somebody to play with this is a good opportunity to do some networking!!  

We are going to be giving away a ton of music gear!   A couple of my instrument specifically, and at this point when I know for sure is a Eric Clapton USA Strat. Not a Squier, a real fender USA!!

There will be no charge at the door, but a $10 donation is very appreciated .   We will be raffling off a bunch of stuff.   One of the things I'm going to auction off personally is my 1987 Peavey Dyna Bass.  Made in the USA!  Make no mistake, this is a cool bass!   Heather Langley with Plectrum Heaven will auction off some of her musician inspired jewelry.   Carol Ruth DeFreese will also be auctioning off some of her ultra cool crafts!
