Η διαδρομή ξεκινά μέσα από το μονοπάτι δίπλα από τον ποταμό Καρκώτη και μέσα από ένα παρθένο δασικό τοπίο διασχίζει την όμορφη κοιλάδα του ποταμού και περνά κοντά στις εγκαταστάσεις του κλειστού ορυχείου χρωμίου και από την εκκλησία του Αγίου Νικολάου της Στέγης (12ος αιώνας).
