- **Event Description**: Our feed from the Traquair site shows the kind of activities we get up to as we construct an "iron age" workshop using hand tools and natural materials on site.  Mostly working with wood, peeling, splitting, cutting, sawing, etc and all in an outdoor setting on uneven, rough ground.  

Children attending must have their parent/guardian with them for supervision, this is a voluntary community project with limited instruction and the expectation you are somewhat autonomous.  That caveat out the way, so far all attendees find this an enjoyable and relaxing outdoor environment to do a bit of work with your hands, pick up or practice some skills and just enjoy the fresh air!

If this is your kind of thing then come along with some gardening or riggers gloves, some water, snacks and clothing suitable for the weather and getting a bit mucky.  Work at a pace that suits you and we usually have an open fire and occasionally cook up some basic foodstuffs.
