🥁 A Diverse Youth Network 2026. szeptember 5. és 12. között immár hatodik alkalommal rendezi meg Pécsett a Freedom of My Identity Emberi Jogi Fesztivált. Az eseménysorozat célja, hogy felhívja a helyi közösségek és az országos nyilvánosság figyelmét az emberi jogok védelmére, a társadalmi sokszínűség értékére és a kirekesztés elleni fellépés fontosságára.

A fesztivál programjai között szemináriumok, műhelymunkák, panel- és kerekasztal-beszélgetések, kulturális események, valamint egy emberi jogi agóra is szerepel. Kiemelt figyelmet kapnak a nemzetiségi közösségek, a vallási sokszínűség, valamint az LMBTQ+ emberek jogai és társadalmi láthatósága.

🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ A fesztivál záróeseménye a VI. Pécs Pride Felvonulás, amely a régió egyetlen Pride-rendezvénye. Pécs nyitott szellemiségére építve célunk, hogy a fesztivál révén erősítsük a szolidaritást, elősegítsük a társadalmi befogadást, és felhívjuk a figyelmet a marginalizált közösségek jogainak és biztonságának fontosságára.

The programme is part of the 6th Freedom of My Identity Human Rights Festival.

🥁 From September 5 to 12, 2026, Diverse Youth Network will once again organise the Freedom of My Identity Human Rights Festival in Pécs, for the sixth time. The festival aims to draw the attention of local communities and the wider public to the importance of protecting human rights, the value of social diversity, and the importance of standing up against exclusion.

The festival programme includes seminars, workshops, panel and roundtable discussions, cultural events, as well as a Human Rights Agora. Special attention will be given to national and ethnic minority communities, religious diversity, and the rights and social visibility of LGBTQ+ people.

🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ The festival will culminate in the 6th Pécs Pride March, the only Pride event in the region. Building on Pécs’s open and inclusive spirit, our aim is to strengthen solidarity, promote social inclusion, and raise awareness of the importance of protecting the rights and safety of marginalised communities.

The opening ceremony will feature speeches by:

▶️ Szilvia Bognár – Councillor for National Minorities and Civil Affairs

▶️ Mihály Dancs – President, National Self-Government of Roma in Hungary
▶️ Béla Rácz – President, 1Hungary Association
▶️ Virág Sövegjártó – President, National Youth Council
▶️ Dr. Ágnes Sifter –  Head of the Institution, Miskolc Regional Roma Legal Aid and Information Centre
▶️ Ádám Végh – Head of Department at the Támasz Foundation

The opening ceremony will also include:
🏆 Presentation of the “For Social Diversity” Award
🎭 Opening of the “Labrisz 25 – Lesbian Herstory in Hungary: Pop-up Exhibition”

The event will conclude with a standing reception and informal conversation.
