He will share his experience: "Remembering 9/11: A Survivors Story" On a clear September morning in 2001, Billy Forney was at his desk on the 85th floor of One World Trade Center’s North Tower when the world changed forever. As the first plane struck, Billy faced a defining moment—one that twice brought him to the brink of death but ultimately became a testament to the human spirit’s power to persevere. Navigating through smoke and darkness, Billy not only found his way out but helped others along the way, showing resilience under unimaginable circumstances. His story has since become a source of hope and reflection, shared across television, radio, and print, and recounted to diverse audiences from civic groups to schools, honoring the lessons of survival, empathy, and community. A native of Houston and a Rice University graduate, Billy has built a career across multiple industries—including financial services, commodity trading, the oil sector, and family entertainment centers. Today, he focuses on business development for Our HR Office, a human resources consulting firm, and serves as a fractional CFO to several growing companies, helping them scale with financial clarity and operational discipline. Today, Billy brings his experience as a survivor and community leader to audiences nationwide, reminding them that life’s unexpected challenges are invitations to discover our strength and inspire others. Notes: Arrive at 11:30am to buy lunch and get seated. The official meeting starts promptly at noon and we have FUN. We meet in a private room just west (to the right as you enter front door.) Our Club is all inclusive and we welcome everyone. We ask that you honor our standards and do the same. We have a quick prayer and honor both the American and Texas flags at our meetings. We meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month. We are LIVE and online for both of those meetings. Our Club is composed of Veterans AND Patriots.
