Hey everyone, I am going to host November's WHT Fans Monthly Bike Ride on Friday, November 28. This is the day after Thanksgiving and will be a fantastic opportunity to get outside and away from all the Black Friday craziness.
We will gather at 10 a.m. at Rainbow Falls State Park for a quick ride briefing and be on our way. Please note this has changed from Adna.
As always, these rides are open to all people of all ages and all abilities, but I do ask that you have a level of fitness for an 11-14 mph pace. All types of bikes are welcome, including e-bikes in accordance with State Parks rules and policies. E-bikes with a throttle are not allowed.
This ride will be weather dependent. In the event of heavy rain the ride may be rescheduled; light rain generally does not deter these rides from taking place. Please monitor forecasts and come prepared for conditions, and that also includes proper bike gear such as a rear fender.
Our goal is to ride from Rainbow Falls through the Pluvius area and back. Expect 35-40 miles or so, maybe a tad longer.
What to bring:
- A capable bicycle for all terrain and all conditions
- Mudguard or fender (don't splash riders behind you)
- Clothing appropriate for the weather
- Water, food, any medications you may need
- GPS head unit or similar type of device
- Your manners and trail etiquette for others
Any questions, please let me know in the comments. We will see you November 28!
