- **Event Description**: Join the Greater Worcester Land Trust on the longest day of the year for a hike to Thoreau’s Seat!

Flags will lead hikers up the blue rectangle trail to Thoreau’s Seat (about 15-20 minutes). 

At Thoreau’s Seat, we will enjoy s'mores and hotdogs, and Colin will offer a brief history of the site. 

If there is sun, we will watch the sunset. Otherwise, there is the fire to keep us occupied!

Parking: At the end of Briarcliff Lane, Paxton, MA

Things you may want to bring:
Bugspray
Blanket to sit on
A food item of your own to roast over the fire
Headlamp for the way down, if you plan to linger
Walking stick/pole

Note: There is an incline on the way up that requires following a path along large rocks. It is challenging! If you are someone needing accommodations and cannot get to Thoreau’s Seat via Briarcliff, please let us know and we can work something out.
