Join me as we delve into the experimental world of mixed media art! This fun, four hour crash course workshop offers participants the chance to explore and combine various materials and techniques to create unique artworks.
We will begin by covering the basics of mark making using a variety of tools, paints, objects and gelli printing. We will learn how to layer papers to create dynamic and visually interesting effects.
Mixed media is an extremely expressive art form, and encourages creativity through playful exploration. You are sure to leave feeling empowered and inspired to incorporate mixed media techniques into your own art practice!
Cost per person is $60, and includes all materials and instruction necessary to complete a unique 11x14 mixed media artwork. Though not required, participants are encouraged to bring some of their own mixed media materials and tools to truly personalize their work - this could be tissue paper, painted papers, letters, newspapers, book pages, sheet music, or other ephemera.
Seats are limited to 12 students, so pre-registration registration is highly encouraged to guarantee your spot. This is a 5 hour workshop with a 1 hour lunch break, from 10am to 3pm MTN. Lunch is not provided - students are welcome to bring snacks, drinks, and a sack lunch if desired.
