You can also make the tiniest one into a wearable piece of jewelry! We'll go over basic tools of bookbinding. No prior experience necessary.All ages welcome; students under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult. A minimum of 4 students is needed to run the workshop.Price includes most  meterials, including specialty art papers from Paper Connection. An extra $5.00 materials fee goes to instructor at start of class.Class Objectives:1. Become familiar with basic bookbinding tools and bookbinding terminology2. Learn the intrinsic qualities of paper and folding3. Bind two types of booksAbout the Instructor:Andre Lee Bassuet (she/her/hers) is a Korean-American artist, designer and educator based in Rhode Island. Rooted in the art of the book, her practice bridges printmaking, storytelling and design. She studied printmaking and papermaking in Japan and got her MFA at Osaka University of Arts and a BS from New York University. She has taught bookbinding and printmaking at these Rhode Island venues: Art Annex, AS220, Brown University, Jamestown Art Center, and the Newport Art Museum.
