Soldering! Forging! Learn the traditional techniques of jewelry making in this introductory class. No experience necessary.About this EventThis introductory 8-week course will focus on the design process and basic fabrication techniques of jewelry making and metalsmithing. In this class, students will begin with a sample project to practice the design, layout, and construction of a small decorative metal piece. This will serve as a guide to practice using basic tools and techniques for sawing, soldering, texturing, and polishing. Using these skills, students will design and construct a custom pendant, ring, and/or earrings.
