"Big Questions" Book & Discussion Club is a place for natural born philosophers who aren't satisfied with the simple answers to life's biggest questions.
Together we will read everything from primary philosophical texts to plays to novels to anything that might inspire you to take a deeper look at the world around you, human nature, or what many refer to as "the meaning of life."
Our discussions will be colored by our experiences as humans in the modern world as they relate to the text, though Big Questions strives to be a welcoming place for all those interested in the topic at hand. Engaging with the reading material is encouraged but not required.
As your host, I will try to enrich your experience of the text through relevant articles and other media that you can (optionally!) choose to engage in.
There is no requirement to participate in the discussion if you're new or nervous, however we encourage diverse perspectives. There are no right answers to Big Questions. ☺
For our first meeting, we will be reading The Stranger by Albert Camus. After that, we will be moving to a voting system among members.
Also check out other Meetups in Pawtucket.
Tickets for Big Questions Book Club: The Stranger by Albert Camus can be booked here.
