- **Event Description**: This production of Julius Caesar will take place on Nov. 6th & 7th at 7pm, Nov. 8th at 3pm at Teatro ECAS (679 Valley St. Providence, RI. ). Rehearsals will take place on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays between September 14th and November 4th in Providence, RI (Location TBD). Monday and Wednesday rehearsals will be from 6:30pm-10pm, Saturday rehearsals will be from 12:00pm-4:00pm. Not all actors will be called to all rehearsals. Tech will take place on October 29th from 6:00pm-9:30pm, and October 30th from 6:00pm-9:30pm. All actors are required to be at tech.

Auditions will take place on August 14th (7pm-9pm) &15th (12pm-3pm), with callbacks on August 22nd (12-2pm) at Kismet Improv (1005 Main St Ste 2205, Pawtucket, RI)  


 For the audition, please prepare a dramatic Shakespeare monologue. If you would like to use one from the show, you can find some selected sides here. 

All actors will be paid a portion of ticket sales from the production, depending on size of the role in the production. 

Character Breakdown: 
Brutus -20s-40s, any gender. Requires fight work. May potentially involve intimacy with the actor playing Cassius, depending on actors’ comfort levels and discussion. *

Cassius - 20s-30s, any gender. Requires fight work.  May potentially involve intimacy with the actor playing Brutus, depending on actors’ comfort levels and discussion.*

Casca -20s-30s, any gender. Requires fight work. 

Caesar, 30s-50s, male. Requires fight work. 

Antony, 20s-40s, any gender.

Calpurnia/Octavius -30s-50s, female.

Soothsayer & Others -40s-60s, female

*One of these roles has been pre-cast. Depending on the audition pool, the pre-cast actor will be in one of these roles. 

Gender of the roles is listed by preference, though we are open to anyone of any gender identity playing any of these roles. If you are interested in a role and do not hold the gender identity listed, you are still welcome to audition.
