Joining us from France on their first U.S.
tour is the Agate String Quartet. Their
program includes string quartets by Mozart
and Ravel, plus a new work by Ukrainian
composer Anna Korsun. The group takes
its name from the soprano “Agathe,”
referenced in the Brahms string sextet No.
2, and from the semiprecious stone.
